Hi, I’m Rachel
You can find me at a local farmers’ market or cooking with friends with whatever we have in the fridge.
I’m the type of person who is thinking about what we are having for dinner before we’ve had breakfast.
I love to make (cook)books
Unicorn Food (2019)
In 2019, I wrote, shot, and styled my first cookbook for Sterling Epicure, the publisher for Barnes and Noble. The book went on to sell 188,000 copies across major retailers including Kohl’s and TJ Maxx.
All I do is win (contests)
A fun fact about me is that I’ve earned more than $35,000 from recipe contests!
In 2019, I submitted the winning entry for Bon Appetit’s Blended Burger Project. I developed a Pork & Shiitake Larb Burger that replaced at least 25% of the burger patty with mushrooms.
I became Whole Food’s Hot Bar Star in 2022 with my winning recipe for Cacio e Pepe Potatoes. I won a year’s worth of groceries from Whole Foods, plus a trip to Austin to visit the Global Test Kitchen. The potatoes were then adapted nationwide and featured on the hot bar for the holiday season.
Me and the microwave
I’ve been cooking my whole life. Never did I think I would be microwaving food as much as I am now.
This magic machine is making me re-think everything I know about cooking! It’s making mealtime so much easier, accessible, and makes significantly less dishes. Truly, embracing the microwave has changed the way I cook for myself.
